Returning to Work After an Injury

Access Injury Management Systems (AIMS)

When staff are injured inthe workplace or involved in a motor vehicle accident, getting back to productive work is a major part of their rehabilitation process. AIMS provides vocational services to achieve just this, by working together with insurers, employers, treating practitioners and injured workers.

Services include:

  • Occupational rehabilitation services
    (WorkCover and TAC approved)
  • Return to Work plans
  • Job seeking assistance
  • Vocational counselling
  • Worksite assessments (including identifying suitable duties)
  • OH&S and Risk Management consultations

Training

AIMS also provides customised training to suit your needs. Courses and workshops currently offered include:

Role of a Return to Work Coordinator training

In 2006, AIMS became an approved training provider for the Victorian WorkCover Authority’s Role of a Return to Work Coordinator course.  By completing this two day training, participants will be able to:

  • Relate the importance of return to work as a key element of health and safety in the workplace
  • Understand and fulfil the key responsibilities of the Return to Work Coordinator’s role
  • Create a Return to Work plan

Several courses have been scheduled for 2007. Please contact us for dates and cost.

Manual Handling training

Provides participants with the basic knowledge and skills to apply the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004.

Workshops can be conducted at the worksite to assist participants in identifying manual handling risks in their own work environment. Risk management strategies and solutions will be workshopped along with roles and responsibilities.

  • Why ergonomics are important for sedentary workers
  • Setting up your work station
